Three adaptable probes are included for oral, rectal and underarm use; thereby hygienically allowing you to use one thermometer for all three purposes. This thermometer delivers fast and accurate readings, beeps when the reading is complete, and will glow red if the temperature registers at 99.9 degrees Fahrenheit or higher ¿ indicating a fever is present. The Fever Alert¿ feature makes it easier to get a quick visual reading, especially when taking a child's temperature at night. Thermometer also knows exactly which probe is in use and calibrates the readout accordingly; since typically rectal readings are a degree higher than oral, and underarm readings are a degree lower. | | | Features: | |

It Does It All!Jan 30, 2007
By Nicole Jasper I orginally bought this item for my sister's baby shower. I liked it so much I bought one for myself to try as well. I've only used this thermometer a few times so far, but I am very happy with the results. I have a 2 year old and an 8 month old and I needed something that actually worked (not like some of the other digital thermometers I have tried!). This thermometer seems to be very fast and accurate. I like the fact that it has a special attachment for under the arm. It gives you more surface area to get a better reading. I also like that this thermometer lights up red or green to indicate a fever or not. This is a nice feature to have if you need to take your child's temperature during the night and don't want to wake him/her by turning on a light to read the thermometer. Another great feature of this item is that the three attachment store nicely inside the the thermometer so you always know where they are when you need them.

Three in One ThermometerApr 19, 2009
By T.P. Ok...I've went through about 5 to 8 thermometers in 2.5 years, attempting to find one that wasn't junk. I've tried them all. Ear, rectal, forehead, oral, underarm. This is GREAT! Enough said...BUY IT! Trust me, I've been a pediatric nurse for 20 years, this is an excellent thermometer without spending $200, which was my next step.

Works decently, but not as advertisedMar 18, 2007
By Claudia Copeland First, let me say that this thermometer has a handy design, and it is very nice to have three separate attachments for oral, underarm, and anal readings. I have a couple of problems with it, though. First, it is supposed to give a reading in 5 seconds. It takes much longer than that, and often turns off before getting a reading. Second, the underarm measurements are consistently low, though the probes are supposed to lead to pre-calibrated readings. Third, about half the time, the green/red lights don't light up. Perhaps I simply got a "lemon"? In spite of these drawbacks, though, it is a nice thermometer kit. If you buy it, just test yours first with normal body temperature so you can calibrate and know if the readings are consistently high or low, and by how much. Then you can simply add or subtract when it comes time to make a judgement about fever.

The Only Thermometer We NeedJan 25, 2008
By Michigan Mommy I received two other thermometers as gifts but this was the closest to what they use at the doctor's office so I immediately liked that. Plus, it has all the attachments right in the back which means I can't lose them and I probably would have without the storage! So far, I only use the rectal attachment because my children are both under the age of two but I have had extremely accurate readings. I use this a lot, have had it a year and a half and have never had to replace the batteries. This is what I give to my friends who are expecting babies. I love this thermometer.

Good Product but not as fast as they promiseSep 08, 2009
By Paula Stevenson I have owned this thermometer for about 2 months and have used it several times with my young son. They promised a fast reading and I found that most of the time it is fast but there have been times where I have had to wait 30+ seconds for a reading. I looked in the manual and it says "if used correctly you will get a 7 second reading" so maybe I wasn't using it "correctly".
I love the storage compartment in the back to hold the different tips and I also love the fact that it can store the last 10 readings so you can view them. Overall, I would recommend this to a friend.
