This has been a huge help in our house! It not only helps our little one fall asleep but helps comfort her if she stirs...she drifts back off to sleep.

Musical/ Soothing Sounds BearAug 15, 2008
By Lyz This bear plays 2 different songs, has a heartbeat mode, and 2 nature sounds. I like that this is done with the push of a button and not a wind up. There is also a volume control.

MY DAUGHTER LOVES THIS BEARMay 14, 2008

My daughter loves this bear. Has been great in calming her down since she's been in her own room, which was 2 months old. She even knows how to turn the music on and off and how to adjust the volume with the buttons. Great at calming her down for sleep during the night.

Not For MeJul 16, 2007

While the concept of womb simulation/sound has been proven successful, this bear is not. The bear is super soft and of course, cute, and I like the idea of it covering the electronics of the sound machine. However, it quit working properly after only 3 weeks. I had it in my son's play yard, where he slept while in our room, and it worked great. When we set up his nursery and moved him to his "big boy" room, I set up the bear in his crib. Since then, it keeps shutting off within a minute or less. I can't figure out why. To be honest, I haven't spent a lot of time trying to fix it, but I don't think I should have to...being that it is less than a month from purchase. And having a newborn, I don't have the time to have to worry about it.
It is disappointing that it isn't working now. It wasn't that expensive, so it's not worth my time to return it or call the manufacturer. We'll just use the cuddly bear without the sounds. I personally would recommend some other "white noise" (etc.) machine.
That all said, maybe it's just my bad luck??? It was recommended to me, so I guess that person had great success with it. I purchased it to encourage my son to sleep in his bed during the daytime. He sleeps fine through the night but only sleeps 10 minutes at a time during the day unless I am holding him. Unfortunately, this item did not help our dilemma. I didn't hurt anything, but I feel it was an unnecessary purchase and I could've used the money for something else.

Get Lots of BatteriesOct 13, 2009
By SWPDX This bear works really well for our 2 month old son. He falls asleep more quickly when we play the womb noise and the music and nature sounds are pleasant for other times. I also like that it automatically shuts off after a certain time but I am not sure how much of a battery saver it is. I use duracell batteries with this and it seems that after a week or so, they are dead. We use the bear maybe 3 times a day but a week still seems a bit short lived. I wonder if a white noise machine that plugs in might work just as well...
