Solid CribMar 10, 2010 This crib looks very nice in my son's room. It has a sturdy look and feel. The assembly is straightforward and not too time consuming. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced dark wood crib. My only caution is that "espresso" does not mean the same color to all manufacturers. Our espresso crib and espresso changing table don't quite match, but it's close enough that it doesn't hurt the eye.
purchased a few days agoMar 08, 2010 well, very quick shipping so that was nice!love the color,no where for my son to get fingers and toes stuck in,solid, doesnt move when hes jumping around.my only complaint is that its was getting scratches and dents all over when i was trying to put it together...frustrating.:/
Do I have any other choice?Mar 08, 2010 I researched a lot before buying this crib, I was looking for a reasonably priced and a safe crib.
Got this crib, it took couple of hours to assemble it, as many other reviewers said, it is really really delicate.
It is impossible to assemble this crib without getting some dents here and there. Even a light touch makes a dent.
Not sure if it really is worth the price, but there was hardly any other crib in the market in this price range and considered safe.
LOVE IT!! Sturdy and REAL wood!Feb 10, 2010 This is NOT difficult to put together, much easier than the dresser/changing tower I did last week. Someone stated there aren't any English directions, which isn't true, there are English and then written under the English is French. I put this together solo and I'm preggo! Also, I was so worried about scratches, it is pine people, which is the softest wood out there, I dropped a leg of it on concrete on accident and no dings and no scratches. I took my fingernail to a hidden area and nope, no scratches, I'm sure our son might nick it once he gets a tooth, but that would be about it. I love that it is all wood, no particle board, no plastic parts, and nothing movable either. The cherry is a true cherry and matches a cherry dresser we bought from a different maker perfectly. The shipping took a bit, but no big deal, it was free shipping. I'm looking forward to using this once our son is born. I gave it 4 because he isn't here yet and there was a TINY bit of misalignment but it was only noticeable to me since I put it together.
Great so farFeb 10, 2010 Contrary to what others have said, putting together the crib is NOT difficult. It looks fantastic. We decided to go with the Kalani crib with the espresso Roxanne furniture (changing table and dresser). All were relatively simple to put together, although I would recommend having two sets of eyes to view the instruction. We avoided the Roxanne due to the drop down side.
Still waiting on the baby, but if she doesn't like it, I'm sure she will let us know. Best wishes.
