nice looking but poorly builtMar 27, 2007
By JBN This item is nice looking but poorly built. I was shocked at the poor quality as I expected more for the price. It says "some assembly required" but comes flat packed (like Ikea furniture but most Ikea furniture is better made) and has to be COMPLETELY assembled. I have assembled a lot of furniture in my life and this is by far the most poorly made. If I had not been charged so much for shipping I would have returned the dressers right away. I have only had them for a week and already two of the drawers have come apart and I have had to re-assemble. Think twice on this piece - I think you can find MUCH better for equal or less money.

Nice for the priceMar 13, 2011
By minnesotawildhockey Ignore the crazy people with a poor review on this because of the quality of this dresser. Of course it's not the nicest, most fancy well built dresser ever made, but for the money it is a very nice dresser. It is exactly what I expected. The finish is very nice, but be careful with it because it can scratch easy. Yes the wood is particle board and pine but what would you expect for the price. The drawers open & close with ease and it all went together fairly easily. Great bang for your buck.

DaVinci Kalani DresserJul 09, 2010
By A. Fannon My husband and I ordered this dresser in Espresso. It is a decent quality dresser. One part came broken in the box during shipment and the manufacturer sent us a new part for free. Otherwise we are very pleased with the dresser. It is not of the highest quality in terms of the hardness of the wood, but if you want something more high quality, you should expect to visit a furniture store.

Looks nice but cheap material and poorly made.Jan 17, 2012
By Ron Well, I read everyone's product reviews before I purchased this. At the end of the day, I still bought it because I had already purchased and assembled the matching crib. Now we just needed to buy a dresser so we can organize the clothes in the nursery.
Am I happy with it? Meh. It looks decent.
Materials: But I know that the parts you can see are made of nice, solid wood. The parts you can't see (i.e. the drawers and backing) are made of really cheap material. The bottom of the drawers are flimsy. The sides and backs of the drawers are made of a weak engineered wood.
Assembly: I have an engineering degree and I absolutely love assembling stuff. The crib was fun to put together. This dresser was a lot of work. Very repetitive. There were literally 100 of the small wood screws. Ok, so this is to be expected from a 4 drawer dresser. What you do not expect is that the instruction manual really sucked, which was surprising because the crib's instruction manual was very good. There were steps that made no sense and there were instructions that referenced parts that didn't exist. I eventually figured to skip those steps. Also, one reviewer mentions that you have to backtrack in order to complete certain steps. This is true!
As I went along, I found better ways to assemble the individual drawers. ***Do not over tighten the screws on the drawers because the engineered wood will crack!***
Conclusion: So, I know I wasn't getting furniture from Ethan Allen or Dania. But I also didn't expect to get something just a tiny bit better than Ikea.
Overall. It looks nice. But I know the insides are cheap. You get what you pay for.

Well worth the money spentNov 29, 2010
By Trebor Looks great next to the matching crib and diaper changing 3 drawer dresser. It is not Thomasville or Ethan Allen, but it is certainly no piece of garbage either. You get more than your money's worth and assembly was pretty easy and straight forward. All pieces aligned well and we have no complaints overall.
We did purchase some small felt sticky back pads to place on the inside corners of the drawers so they close more quietly. We are very please with the purchase including the fast shipping we received along with great packaging; there were no damaged parts.
