Flimsy, Bad WoodJan 20, 2007

Overall a poor piece of furniture.
The exposed wood is as it appears: very nice. Our cherry finish matched the cherry finish of our crib (a Da Vinci product as well, and one I'm very pleased with).
However, buyer beware. This piece of furniture contains lots of particle board and cheap pine. So not only will you have a difficult time putting it together, you might not get it put together at all. The pieces of wood we received for the drawers are terrible--black spots and cracks abounded. And only two cam bolts hold in the front of the drawers, hardly enough support for these pieces. Because the holes were poorly drilled and the cam locks were bad, I couldn't get two of the three drawers properly assembled. I had to use wood glue just to attach the front. I shouldn't have to do that for $250+.

Very bad quality for dresserApr 24, 2007
By Babybuyer We bought this dresser because it matched the crib. The shelves are made of cheap wood and broke apart after 2 mo use. The particle board wood side split down the middle and the front panel came apart from one of the shelves. Terrible quality. Would not buy this brand/product again!!!

Cheap product & very, very bad serviceMar 12, 2007
By Irritated Guy I would urge Amazon not to sell this product any longer. Customer service is awful. Our dresser arrived with NO hardware. I had to send six emails over 2 weeks to get the hardware sent to us. (Even after I pdf'd and emailed the seller the instruction sheet, with a note indicating that ALL listed hardware was missing, they were not satisfied and kept asking for more information. It was unbelievably irritating, and they were curt and never apologized.) Also, the dresser arrived in a filthy, old, dented and torn box. The pieces were completely covered in this weird, sticky dust. I had to clean each piece individually, which took more than an hour.
We have the matching crib, which was relatively easy to assemble and is sturdy and attractive. The dresser is cheap and flimsy, and much of it--including the side panels--is made of very low budget particle board with ugly fake wood grain finish. It looks really cheap and ugly. For $249, go to your local discount furniture store.
Amazon: please stop selling this product. I've been a customer for years, and this left a bad taste in my mouth.

No problems hereApr 13, 2008
By A. Jastremski I've had this changing table for over a year and love it. My husband and I put it together and it only took maybe an hour. It doesn't feel flimsy and it looks great. I foster babies/children and some are larger than newborns so, we have been putting our furniture (we have matching crib and just bought a second changer)through the ringer and really like them. I am going to mention a couple of things: First, the directions could be a little better; the parts don't have the labels on them so you don't know if they are part a or b just by looking at the part, but it isn't hard to figure out-just compare the part to the picture that says what all of the parts are. Second, in response to some of the wood quality complaints; Yes, the wood for the drawers are a soft wood, but the directions specifically say NOT to use power drills or you can strip the wood. Use a screwdriver and had no issues with cracks or stripping the wood etc., It was surprisingly easy. The result was a sturdy changing table.

DaVinci ChangerMar 08, 2007
By R. Bucala My husband and I received our order very quickly (we also ordered the Emily Crib). The crib and changer look great together. The quality of the changer isn't the best but for the price I think it is good. There is a lot of MDF-type material used for the dresser-the 2 sides, back and drawer bottoms. However, it is sturdy and will definately stylishly serve it's purpose.
