Love it!Mar 10, 2010 After purchasing a less than quality glider and having to return it, I decided to spend the extra money and go for the one I really wanted. I am so happy that I did. This glider is so comfortable and really nice quality. I love how it reclines and locks into 6 different positions, that was a must for me. It was fairly easy to put together (the only thing that gave me any problem was that the right and left sides were labeled backward for the arm rests). The cushions are just as thick as they look and very comfortable. The color in the picture is accurate as well. I am 5'3" and 155 at 9 months pregnant and I fit in it well. My husband is 5'7" and 160 and he fits really well also. It is a bit more narrow in the seat than some that I sat in but not by much. The only negative is that there is a 'greasy' sound coming from somewhere under the chair. I am sure it is something that will work itself out or maybe I could wipe away some of the joint lubrication and it would fix it, I just haven't yet. Overall, I highly recommend this chair, especially from Amazon. It arrived very quickly and in perfect condition.
Nice for the PriceMar 10, 2010 I just ordered this last week, arrived within 3 days in great condition.
I was able to take it out of the box and put it together myself being 8 months pregnant!
It is quite comfy. The cushions are mirco fiber...which are wonderful since my son already got mud on it. Came right off.
I think this is a great rocker no need to spend more on an expensive one.
It leans back and locks into place.
Excellent chairMar 08, 2010 After looking around for a highly rated chair, since I wanted this for my livingroom, I found this one. It is perfect for me. Shipping was super fast (it arrived on a Saturday), assembly was easy enough for me to put together by myself. I use this every day and love it. I only wish that the chair pad was just a little bit heavier. Price on Amazon was much lower than anywhere else that I found this exact chair. Now I enjoy just rocking and watching a movie.
shermag glider rockerMar 07, 2010 I am very happy with this glider and ottoman. The price was very reasonable. The chair is smaller than other gliders out there, but that was what I was looking for. I am a small person and the baby's room is also small so the glider is perfect. My husband, who is average size fits comfortably in the glider as well. My husband put it together with no problem. I definitely recommend this product,
TERRIBLEMar 03, 2010 My wife and I received this chair as a gift for our baby shower. It is a comfortable chair, but that is where my good thoughts end. Within about 2 weeks of use, the wood started to make creeking noises. Noises so loud that it was annoying to watch television while using the chair. Also, the bearings in the actual gliding mechanism were no longer smooth. We are very frustrated!! Especially when we tried to return the chair. NOBODY GOT BACK TO US. Knowing that mostly these chairs are bought for expecting mothers, you would think that the Shermag company or anyone who sells it would want to BACK it. At this point, I am not sure it is safe enough to use while holding a baby. Don't waste your money. Spend $500 to $600 on a chair at a quality furniture store, it will most likely last a lot longer. REMEMBER.... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!
