Best seat ever!Dec 01, 2009 I got this seat for my son so he could learn to sit up. I looked at the Bumbo but a number of the reviews talked about the small legs holes being a problem. Since my son has beautifully chubby thighs, I looked elsewhere. I liked that the Summer seat is multi-functional. I hate clutter so single use items have tendancy to never make it into my house. The toys on the tray were fun for my son, now he doesn't really play with them at 10 months but he does use the snack portion now. It is easy to get him in and out. You can either pull him out backwards, bracing the seat against your body or you can undo the snack tray and pull him out front ways. I have not used it as a booster seat yet though I cannot envision any issues at this point. Also, I do believe that it is cheaper than a Bumbo. I purchased mine at Target and spent $30ish? (it's been a bit) but I don't think I spent $55...

Better than BumboOct 21, 2009 This seat is so multi-functional. We use it instead of a high chair (we put the straps around a chair we have at home) and feed our daughter in it. When we first got it (~5mo), our daughter loved to sit and play in it. She loved to chew on the toys and toss around the cups! Now that she's older (8 mo), we use it at feedings and to keep her occupied for a little bit when we are doing something around the house.
The tray slides in and out easily to get the baby out.
We were visiting friends who have a Bumbo...it just looked uncomfortable (her thighs barely seemed to fit and she was just 6mo old!) and it was MUCH harder to get her in and out of it and I HATED the plastic Bumbo tray that supposedly snapped in place...it was so hard to use and caught her hands once, making her cry. \
This seat is cheaper and more importantly, WAY more functional!
I love that it grows with my baby and plan to use it for a while...

So much better than BumboJul 19, 2009 This is an amazing seat. It works like a Bumbo, but better for early support. I first bought a Bumbo and took it back when my 6 week old flipped himself backwards. I got this instead and was soo happy. He loves the toys, sat up without problem, and we can rotate the toys around as he loses interest. He would sit in this and watch a Baby Einstein video without problem. It lasts longer than a Bumbo, becuase the toy disk keeps them in the seat. And, it works great for feeding - I could put cheerios on the tray and he would eat them happily while having toys to play with. We used this as a stand-alone seat until 9 months and then converted it to a booster seat. You gotta love the infant gear that grows with your baby!
awesomeMay 29, 2009 Our neighbor bought this as a gift when our son was about 3 1/2 months old and it so so wonderful! He can't sit on his own yet but in this seat he practically has the world at his fingertips (or so he thinks). He loves the toys. The first time he ever laughed really hard was when he was playing with the "bee ball". He is 5 months old now and it doubles as a booster seat (we use it to feed him out of a spoon). I highly recommend this!
